P-pop girl group KAIA has joined forces with the acclaimed fashion designer Chynna Mamawal to launch a new collection, and it’s available exclusively at Wear Casa.
The exciting collaboration blends the worlds of fashion and P-pop, with Chynna bringing her unique design vision to the KAIA collection. The pieces showcase the signature styles and fashion tastes of KAIA’s members – Sophia, Angela, Charice, Charlotte, and Alexa.
“As an artist, they’re artists, and I’m also an artist. You’re always evolving with your music and fashion. My forte is custom-made gowns and suits, but as an artist, you always want to challenge yourself. So, this is my take on street style,” Chynna said.
“These outfits are very simple yet stylish and easy to pair. Our personalities are all reflected here. I designed these together with KAIA, so we really put a lot of thought into them,” she added.
The KAIA x Chynna Mamawal collection features limited-edition statement tees and hoodies. Each item is designed to be both comfortable and fashionable, suitable for everyday wear or special occasions.
“Being comfortable is really important, especially when you’re an artist. When you’re comfortable with what you’re wearing, you’re more confident. Once you feel good about yourself, you’re more confident,” said KAIA’s leader, Angela.
During the event, the members showcased their collection through a runway show, aligning it with the latest fashion trends. They also incorporated their fans’ preferences to create outfits that resonate with and impress the Gen Z market.
Regarding the purpose of collaborating with another P-pop group, Chynna shared her desire to support the P-pop movement.
“I really like P-pop because, while there’s K-pop and J-pop, P-pop is ours. It’s only right that we support it. Collaborating with them is meaningful because we’re both Filipinos. I enjoy working with them. I want to be part of this inspiring movement,” Chynna stated.
KAIA expressed their honor and gratitude towards the designer for her role in styling them.
“We’re from the music industry and are very honored to bridge the fashion and music industries. It’s a huge privilege for us, and we’re truly grateful for this opportunity,” Sophia said.
