“I would like to thank the production team, the director, all the actors, and the staff for remaking such a great drama. I hope it becomes a big hit in the Philippines as well. Fighting!” said the Korean actor.

In the original series, Seung-gi played the role of Hwan Sunwoo, a spoiled chaebol heir who eventually develops feelings for Go Eun-sung (played by Korean actress Han Hyo-joo), a formerly wealthy girl who becomes his grandmother’s heir.

In the Filipino remake, Michael Sager is set to play the role of Hwan Sunwoo, while Kate Valdez will take on the role of Inna, the equivalent of Go Eun-sung.

Coney Reyes will portray Aurea, Michael’s grandmother in the television series.

“Shining Inheritance” is set to premiere on GMA-7’s afternoon block tomorrow, Sept. 9.
