Cruz noted that San Jose was surprised by his confession but sensed that she was pleased. “She was surprised because she knows that she’s my best friend. She wasn’t able to respond quickly but I felt that she was tickled pink.”

Despite the positive aspects of their relationship, Cruz acknowledged that some fans are critical of their pairing. “Yes, I can see on social media that some people still attack me. I just don’t mind them. It’s beyond my control.”

Cruz also expressed gratitude for the support they receive from fans, particularly the core group of JAmantes, who have been supportive of both his personal and professional relationship with San Jose.

“I want to thank them so much! They really text or message me and assure me that whom Julie loves, they also love,” he said.

Professionally, Cruz and San Jose have collaborated extensively, from their early work on the variety show Studio 7 to co-hosting The Clash, which is entering a new season. They have also performed together in various concerts and shows, both locally and internationally.

When asked if he sees San Jose as his future spouse, Cruz responded affirmatively. “I think so. In fact, we already talk about marriage at this point.”
