Navotas initiates PuroKalusugan plan

The Department of Health (DOH) officially launched its latest primary care initiative, the PuroKalusugan Program, in Navotas City on Friday.

Designed to bring essential healthcare services directly to communities, PuroKalusugan aims to establish health service access points in every “purok” across the country.

Mayor John Rey Tiangco expressed his strong support for the PuroKalusugan Program, emphasizing its role in fostering a healthier community.

“This program is a testament to our shared vision of making healthcare accessible to every Navoteño. By bringing these services directly to our barangays, we are not only addressing immediate health needs but also empowering our residents to take charge of their well-being,” he said.

The event, held at North Bay Boulevard North Elementary School, saw active community participation, with residents of all ages benefiting from a wide range of health services. These included nutrition services, immunization, family planning, HIV screening and prevention, tuberculosis control, non-communicable disease prevention, maternal health services, and environmental and sanitation programs.
