In a bid to celebrate its second anniversary, BIYAYA Animal Care has announced its “Libreng Kapon” outreach to be held on September 1 at the Mandaluyong College of Science and Technology Gymnasium.
BIYAYA Animal Care goes beyond serving the veterinary needs of pet owners. It is recognized as one of the leading advocates for animal rights and welfare and the foremost authority on hosting free and low cost mass spay and neuter drives. Since its founding, it has successfully spayed and neutered 103,193 dogs and cats all over the Philippines.
On this occasion, it aims to surpass its first anniversary record of 1,111 spayed and neutered in a span of 12 hours as it expects more pet owners not only from Metro Manila but also neighboring provinces to register.
“Spaying and neutering does not only improve the health and well-being of animals, but it is the key to ending pet homelessness,” according to Biyaya President and Founder Rina Ortiz.
“Our primary goal is to help our government achieve a #StrayFreeRabiesFreePhilippines by 2035,” she stressed.
The Kapon outreach is in partnership with the City Government of Mandaluyong. Its City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) has recently designated BIYAYA Animal Care as its official veterinary partner.
