The Caloocan City government under Mayor Dale Gonzalo Malapitan aims to empower women through various activities and programs such as congress, bazaar, gender awareness seminars, and free medical services including pelvic ultrasound, mammogram, breast ultrasound, cervical screening and pap smear.
Malapitan cited the observance of Women’s Month as giving added dimension to the events.
The local government also lined up some activities for its employees in North and South Caloocan, including purple outfit contest, health awareness activities, free massage, haircut, freebies, gifts, zumba, yoga and meditation classes.

According to him, Caloocan also promotes the prevention of violence, abuse, discrimination and other challenged faced by women.

Meanwhile, the Caloocan City Gender and Development Coordinating Office (GADCRO) Officer-in-Charge Ms. Jan Christine Bagtas greeted and encouraged women, citizens and city hall employees to avail the free services being offered by the local chief executive through the help of different offices and departments of the city government.
